An exploration of how we perceive food and the role played by colour in the process of eating.
The piece consists of a dinner/performance where the audience experiences eating red food in a blue lighted room which appears to be black.
The audience who took part had a relatively disorientating experience not being able to recognize certain food.
We often claim unprocessed food but we also seek food coloring as colors influence taste.
This project is part of an ongoing research about synesthesia focusing on “color to taste”.
